The verdict fell on Saturday evening in Düsseldorf, during the official awards evening for the most innovative boats of the year. Before an audience of over 400 guests, the jury bringing together the editors of the main magazines of the European specialized press, elected the Oceanis 38 in the "Family Cruiser" category.

Shown for the first time at the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes (Cannes Boat Show) last September, the Oceanis 38, a contender with the Bavaria Cruiser 37, Dufour 410, Allure 39.9 and Winner 9.00, was awarded the magnificent title of European Yacht of the Year 2014, in the "Family Cruiser" category.

The Oceanis 38's highly innovative evolving concept earned it this victory. Its seaworthiness, as well as the style of the fittings also impressed the jury.

We are also pleased to announce the victory of the MC5, elected European Powerboat of the Year in the over 45 foot category.
