The Hull and deck plan are the work of the Berret Racoupeau design office. Their designs have led to the
creation of an aesthetically powerful and attractive yacht with remarkable sea keeping qualities.
The interior architecture and design are by Nauta Design. This great Italian name, a bench mark in the
super yacht world, has helped the Oceanis 43 achieve her true personality; one of contemporary lines
where luminosity, comfort and well being take precedence on board.

Construction
The hull is of single-skinned GRP construction. Local areas of reinforcement (keel rudder, chainplates and
hull/deck joint) serve to strengthen the structure. A single-skinned structural inner moulding is bonded and
laminated to the hull. Its structural role is important as it takes and absorbs the stresses as pressure points
(chainplates, tie rods, keel, rudder, etc) ensuring their distribution and so guaranteeing reduced strain on
the hull. The surface of the inner moulding makes cleaning easier and provides better finish.
The deck is of glass fibre and balsa sandwich construction for optimum strength/weight ratio as well as
excellent heat and sound insulation. All working areas and areas of movement around the deck are
provided with non-slip “diamond point” finish.
Fin Keel attached via a system of screws and stainless steel backing plates and also by bonding.
Underhung counterbalanced rudder with stainless steel stock.
Steering via twin helms and 2 leather five spoke wheels.
Metal cable transmission.
Deck access point for emergency steering and emergency tiller.
