palma mapSunbird has been operating in Puerto Portals since 1986, working in conjunction with the local and international market places. Sunbird is a well established Beneteau dealership and offers a quality brokerage service for sail and power.

 

Staff:

  • Manager Simon Crutchley has been here since the office opened. He has a wide knowledge of both sailing and the area.
  • Nick is a recent addition to our team, specialising in power boats and moorings, having spent 25 years in the industry.
  • Denise has been with the company since 2000, having worked in the industry for some years.

A number of Spanish, English, German, and French speaking surveyors are available on the island, and to travel to other parts of the Mediterranean.


We can assist with finding a berth for your boat and winter storage if required. Also advice and help with guardinage, insurance, finance, and maintenance work. Our local RYA training school can also help with any certificates required from ICC up to Yacht Master.

We can arrange boat deliveries worldwide.

Directions from the airport to our office:

From the airport head for Palma, as you approach the city change motorways to the Via Cintura, sign posted Andratx. This takes you around Palma in a loop. After 7 or 8km you will see a tunnel. Get in the right hand lane and as the tunnel finishes change motorways again, signposted Andratx. Stay on this road past 2 exits and take the third exit, sign posted Costa d'en Blanes/Portals Nous. Turn left across the motorway and go down to the roundabout (traction engine in the middle). Go straight on around the roundabout and then turn right down into the port. Before you get to the bottom of the hill/the sea take a right, signed the Capitania and waiting quay, past the back of our office, number 10. You might be able to park here, but if not keep going, there is plenty of parking around the corner. From the front, our office is in the centre of the square as you walk back along the quay.
